Amethyst: The Soft-Strength Stone for Witches Who’ve Survived Some Shit

If there’s one crystal that shows up like the best friend who brings snacks, holds your hair back, and tells your intuition to get its ass in gear, it’s amethyst. This purple beauty is part of the quartz family, and whether it comes as a tiny cluster or a giant cathedral that looks like it portals to another dimension, amethyst shows up with presence.

Below is how I personally work with amethyst in the shop, in ritual, and when I just need my nervous system to stop cosplaying as a hummingbird.

Healing and Energetic Reset

Amethyst has this reputation for being soft — and yeah, she’s gentle — but she’s also strategic. This crystal works great with the third eye and crown, not in a “float away into the abyss” way, but in a “let’s remember who the hell you are” way.

I use it for:

  • Emotional decompression after heavy readings

  • Energetic alignment when life feels lopsided

  • Resetting the spiritual channel when I’ve been peopling too hard

Place it on the third eye during meditation or keep it nearby during healing work. Amethyst knows how to take the edge off without making you spiritually dissociate.

Anxiety loves me. I wish it didn’t. Amethyst helps me put that gremlin down for a nap.

Amethyst is one of my go-tos for intuitive strengthening. It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t force. It just clears the static so you can actually hear yourself think.

  • You’re working on trusting your instincts

  • You want to deepen meditation or journeywork

It opens the third eye without blowing out your circuits. Subtle but potent.

Look — not everything in the spiritual world is love and light. Energies get sticky. People project. Someone always wants to test your boundaries.
